The Boston Bruins hosted a special guest before their game on Saturday.

AJ Quetta, a high school hockey player who suffered a spinal cord injury during a game earlier this year, served as the team's honorary fan banner captain before Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Second Round against the New York Islanders on Saturday.
The team shared a picture of Quetta and his family and friends with the flag before the game.

Quetta was also named the honorary captain of the 2021 Boston Bruins-Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association Sportsmanship Award. Winners are selected by "exemplifying commitment to sportsmanship, teamwork, and dedication, both on and off the ice."
Quetta is student at Bishop Feehan in Attleboro, Massachusetts, a town about 40 minutes outside of Boston. The 18-year-old has been undergoing three hours of physical therapy per day.
