Leipsic, a 23-year-old forward, has 13 points (two goals, 11 assists) in 44 games this season. He was selected by Vegas from the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft and can become a restricted free agent after next season.
Selected by the Nashville Predators in the third round (No. 89) of the 2012 NHL Draft, Leipsic has 16 points (three goals, 13 assists) in 50 NHL games with the Golden Knights and Maple Leafs.
"We've followed him for a while," Vancouver general manager Jim Benning said. "All of our pro scouts have seen him play lots. He's a guy we think is going to add speed, skill, quickness to our forward group that quite honestly we need. He's shown this year he can play in the NHL as kind of a fourth-line player. I think we are going to give him an opportunity to play with more skilled players to see what he can do."
Holm, 26, made his NHL debut Friday against the Golden Knights, playing 15:12. He has 29 points (11 goals, 18 assists) in 42 games with Utica of the American Hockey League.
He signed a one-year contract with Vancouver and can become a restricted free agent July 1.
