The Bruins set NHL single season records for wins (65) and points (133). They play Game 1 at against the Florida Panthers at TD Garden on Monday.
"They are the prohibitive favorite, rightfully so," Olczyk said to co-hosts Dan Rosen and Shawn P. Roarke in the episode recorded Friday. "It seemed like they got a little healthier down the stretch. But I think it's probably a great debate, is the pressure even moreso considering this unbelievable season that they've had. If they get down 2-1 in a series -- look, every team has adversity there's no doubt, and they've had adversity over the course of the season but add it onto the unbelievable regular season I think there is a lot more pressure. Everyone is expecting them to go through the playoffs and get to the Cup Final and you never know."
The Toronto Maple Leafs haven't won a playoff series since 2004, with the current iteration of the team losing six straight series in the past six years, including in seven games against the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Eastern Conference First Round last year after being up 3-2.
The Maple Leafs face the Lightning in the first round again, with Game 1 at Scotiabank Arena on Tuesday. Is this the year they finally advance?
