NEW YORK -- Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for tripping Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Brady Skjei during Game 7 of the teams' First Round series in Raleigh, N.C., on Saturday, May 14, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.
