Doak played eight Stanley Cup Playoff games in 1970 when the Bruins defeated the St. Louis Blues in four games to win their first championship since 1941.
He had 130 points (23 goals, 107 assists) and 908 penalty minutes in 789 games with the Bruins, Detroit Red Wings, Vancouver Canucks and New York Rangers from 1965-1981.
Doak played with the Bruins from 1965-70 and 1972-81. In 14 seasons with Boston, he had 101 points (20 goals, 81 assists) and 656 penalty minutes in 609 regular-season games.
Doak was an assistant coach for the Bruins from 1981-85 and coach for the University of Massachusetts-Boston from 1985-87.
