Kayla McAvoy, a temp associate in the strength and conditioning department for the New York Rangers, was greeted by a familiar face at TD Garden on Saturday. She got a pre-game fist bump from her brother, Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy before the game.
According to the ESPN broadcast, Kayla McAvoy was permitted to travel with the team for the game and stand on the bench for the two games at TD Garden against her brother this season.
Kayla is Charlie McAvoy's older sister. He also has two younger sisters named Holly and Heather. McAvoy has called his three sisters "his best friends and biggest supporters."
