The 25-year-old native of Havirov, Czech Republic, also tied Hockey Hall of Fame goalie Dominik Hasek with five Golden Hockey Stick wins, second behind Jagr's 12. Pastrnak scored 48 points (20 goals, 28 assists) in 48 games last season.
Pastrnak received 492 votes, 20 more than Tampa Bay Lightning forward Ondrej Palat. Former Bruins center David Krejci (338) was third. Krejci, the 2013 award winner, will play in the Czech Republic this season after 15 seasons in the NHL and is third behind Jagr and Hasek with 11 finishes in the top 10 since the award was first given in 1969. It is voted on by Czech journalists and hockey coaches from various levels of competition.
Selected by the Bruins with the No. 25 pick in the 2014 NHL Draft, Pastrnak has scored 427 points (200 goals, 227 assists) in 438 regular-season games and 68 points (27 goals, 41 assists) in 63 Stanley Cup Playoff games. That includes 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) in 11 games in the playoffs this season, when the Bruins lost the best-of-7 Stanley Cup Second Round in six games to the New York Islanders.
