The Vegas Golden Knights are doing their part to make sure Bryce Harper's newborn is well-clothed.
The Golden Knights helped welcome Krew Aron Harper, the son of the Vegas-born baseball outfielder who plays for the Philadelphia Phillies, with a posted picture of a personalized jersey for the newborn Tuesday.
Welcome to the #VegasBorn family Krew Aron Harper! 👶
Harper, an original Golden Knights fan who has dropped the puck at Vegas games , became a dad when his wife Kayla gave birth to the couple's first child Thursday in Las Vegas. Aside from posting the jersey, the Golden Knights also promised to keep tabs on Krew, who will be eligible for the 2037 NHL Draft. Harper is even talking like a hockey dad. "I hope he has a hockey stick in his hand, that would be nice," Harper told the Philadelphia Inquirer . "Excited to see him grow up and see what he does. Those moments go through your head when you're holding him." It's unclear whether Gritty has a gift basket ready for Harper's newborn like he had prepared for Philadelphia Flyers captain Claude Giroux. Harper delivered a gift of his own to the Phillies by hitting a home run in his first game off paternity leave Monday.
