Krejci was injured on a hit during the second period of a 6-3 win against the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday, when Boston began a four-game homestand. He didn't practice Friday but skated briefly during an optional morning skate Saturday.
Goalie Anton Khudobin (2-0-0) will start for Boston. Tuukka Rask will miss his second straight game because of a concussion.

The Sabres will look to end a two-game losing streak when they play the second game of a back-to-back set; they lost 4-2 at home to the Canucks on Friday. Robin Lehner will start in goal for the Sabres, who are off to their worst start since they began 1-7-0 to in 2014-15.
Boston has won its past seven games against Buffalo, with the Sabres' last win coming Dec. 26, 2015.

Players to watch

Sabres center Jack Eichel, who grew up in Lynnfield, Massachusetts, and attended Boston University, has six points (two goals, four assists) in seven career games against his hometown team. He has 10 points (three goals, seven assists) in eight games this season.
Bruins center Patrice Bergeron, who missed the first five games of the season with a lower-body injury, had a goal and three assists in his season debut against the Canucks.

The Sabres did not hold a morning skate. Beaulieu sustained an upper-body injury Friday. If he can't play either Fedun or Redmond, who was called up from Rochester of the American Hockey League on Saturday, would replace him. ... Gorges was placed on injured reserve Saturday. ... Miller (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision. O'Gara was called up from Providence of the AHL on an emergency basis in case he can't play. ... Postma will make his Bruins debut after being a healthy scratch for the past six games.
