After holding on to nearly every puck in his NHL debut, Buffalo Sabres goalie Devon Levi let go of one after the game.

The 21-year-old prospect was given the game puck following a 3-2 overtime win against the New York Rangers but then immediately gifted it to his dad, Laurent.

It was a whirlwind night for Levi, who stopped 31 shots including 19 in the third period of the victory.
Levi called the game "a dream come true" and spoke of having the support of his family his entire hockey career, which saw him playing at Northeastern University just a few short weeks ago. Levi's mom, Eta and brother James were also in attendance.

In keeping with tradition, the Sabres sent Levi out for a rookie lap.

And, after he was named the game's first star, he was also given the Sabres sabre as player of the game.

The 21-year-old was given the puck by Sabres coach Don Granato before it was appropriately re-gifted.

All in all, not a bad NHL debut.
