"We'll get three, four days here to think about why we were successful," said Lehner, who has three shutouts this season and eight in his NHL career. "We really got to reflect and understand why we are getting these results.
"This was no fluke, we let in one goal in three games on this road trip. That is quite a big thing for us, and maybe we just have to start really analyzing why we are getting these results because it's very fun playing. We got to start building something here for the rest of the season to start getting out identity and our culture together. It's very important for us."
Jacob Markstrom made 22 saves for the Canucks (19-24-6), who were shut out for the second time in the past three games and have lost three of their past four (1-3-0).
"This is a problem, we play a good game and get a big win at home and then we're happy," Markstrom said. "I don't know if the guys get loose or too relaxed and think we're a great hockey team that can go half-speed, and it includes myself. I need to come up with two good games in a row and bail my teammates out. It's tough. It's very frustrating."
Reinhart made it 1-0 on a rebound 4:27 into the first period after Scott Wilson skated out from behind the net and shot from the bottom of the right face-off circle.
"It seemed from that point on we were pretty in control," Sabres coach Phil Housley said. "We didn't give them too much defensively, we were really tight to our net, we tried to protect Robin as best we could and when we needed a save, Robin was big tonight."
