GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Chris Tanev scored a goal and had three assists for the Calgary Flames in a 4-2 win against the Arizona Coyotes at Gila River Arena on Wednesday.

Blake Coleman scored two goals and had an assist, and Jacob Markstrom made 26 saves for the Flames (23-13-6), who defeated the Dallas Stars 4-3 on Tuesday. Calgary has won three in a row and five of six (5-1-0).
"I thought we could have scored a lot more than we did," Coleman said. "It's obviously good to make a personal contribution to the team, but more importantly we're going into the [All-Star] break with a couple of big wins here."

Karel Vejmelka made 46 saves for the Coyotes (11-30-4), who have lost six of seven. They defeated the Colorado Avalanche 3-2 on Tuesday, ending Colorado's 18-game home winning streak.
"We think we could have definitely played a tighter game defensively and tried to manage their speed and their top line a little better," Arizona forward Liam O'Brien said.
Calgary's top line of Johnny Gaudreau (assist), Elias Lindholm (goal) and Matthew Tkachuk combined for 15 shots on goal.
"They just really play off each other while their [defensemen] get activated," Coyotes defenseman Jakob Chychrun said. "They get four guys low and it's easy to get a little lost when they have that much movement. We just weren't good enough at sorting that out."

CGY@ARI: Tanev finds shooting lane to make it 3-2

Tanev made it 3-2 at 15:15 of the second period with a wrist shot from the blue line that eluded Vejmelka as Andrew Mangiapane screened him.
Coleman redirected Oliver Kylington's shot from the left point at 12:06 of the third period for the 4-2 final.
Calgary tied its record with 26 shots in the first period and took a 2-1 lead.
"We could have been up in the first period probably four or five [goals]," Calgary coach Darryl Sutter said.
Coleman scored on a sharp-angle shot from along the goal line for a 1-0 lead at 2:58.
"We came out strong, we made good plays with the puck, getting getting pucks deep," Tanev said. "Our forwards did a great job of working their defenseman down below the tops of circles and below the goal line, and making plays from there."
Alex Galchenyuk tied it 1-1 at 8:34. It was his second goal in as many games after he didn't score in his first 23 .
Lindholm make it 2-1 at 19:50 from the right face-off circle off Gaudreau's pass from behind the goal line. Gaudreau has scored 25 points (eight goals, 17 assists) in his past 15 games.
"When he's feeling it like he has been lately, I don't know if there's a better player in the league," Tanev said of Gaudreau.

Clayton Keller tied it 2-2 with a one-timer from the slot off Nick Schmaltz's pass 4:14 into the second period.
"The first period, they were all over us, it was a grind and then after that we got better throughout the game," Coyotes coach Andre Tourigny said. "But the damage was done in this sense they wore us down."
Markstrom was pulled Tuesday with the Flames down 3-1 entering the third period at Dallas on Tuesday. Dan Vladar made five saves to get the win.
"He's our guy. He's going to play lots of games," Sutter said of Markstrom. "It's got nothing to do with [making] him feel good about himself."
Tanev's four points are an NHL career high; he came into the game with 10 points (two goals, eight assists) in 41 games. He had three assists for the Vancouver Canucks against the Avalanche on Jan. 31, 2018.
"If we can round out different ways to win games, and just find other different guys to step up each night and be difference makers, we're going to be a pretty dangerous team down the stretch," Coleman said.
