Pelletier signs three-year, entry-level contract with Flames

Forward from Moncton of QMJHL was selected in first round of 2019 NHL Draft

Jakob Pelletier
signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Calgary Flames on Monday. Financial terms were not released.

The 18-year-old forward was selected by Calgary in the first round (No. 26) of the 2019 NHL Draft. He was sent to Moncton of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League on Monday.
Pelletier had 89 points (39 goals, 50 assists) last season for Moncton, seventh in the QMJHL, after he had 61 (23 goals, 38 assists) in 2017-18, his first season in major junior.
