TAMPA -- Yegor Sharangovich had an NHL career-high four points (two goals, two assists) for the Calgary Flames in a 6-3 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena on Thursday.

Jakob Pelletier scored his first goal of the season, and Jonathan Huberdeau and MacKenzie Weegar each had two assists for the Flames (31-26-5), who have won six of their past seven. Jacob Markstrom made 19 saves.

"I think we just outworked them," Huberdeau said. "That's what we do when we play well, and I think that's what we did tonight. It was a big win for us."

Conor Sheary had a goal and an assist for the Lightning (33-25-6), who are 1-4-1 in their past six home games. Andrei Vasilevskiy made 18 saves.

"Embarrassing is what [that] was," Tampa Bay coach Jon Cooper said. "We haven't played since last Saturday (a 4-3 shootout win against the Montreal Canadiens). They had time away from the rink, some time together, a couple of practices. ... We couldn't have laid it out more perfect for them to come out and put on a great show for the fans, and they did the complete opposite."

Dryden Hunt gave Calgary a 1-0 lead at 11:40 of the first period, scoring with a one-timer off a pass from Sharangovich from behind the net.

Sheary tied it 1-1 at 14:28, tapping in a backdoor pass from Nicholas Paul.

"I think we gave up too much, too many opportunities to score," Sheary said. "We came out in the first period a little slow from the little break we had and were just never able to recover fully. We have to have a short memory with so few games left. We have to move forward and get the next one."

Sharangovich put the Flames back in front 2-1 at 6:11 of the second period. Huberdeau gloved down the puck in the slot and sent a no-look backhand pass to Sharangovich, who scored with a one-timer from below the right circle.

"Not much was going through my head," Huberdeau said. "I had a feeling he was going to be there. I kind of just threw it there and got a little lucky. It was a big goal for us."

Sharangovich then made it 3-1 at 8:34 with a one-timer from the high slot after Tampa Bay turned the puck over along the boards. It was his 25th goal of the season, an NHL career high.

"First, it's a good win for the team," Sharangovich said. "Four points. ... Good passes by 'Hubie' on the first goal, second goal it's Matty [Coronato]. I think we had a good guy. With Hubie, it's really nice to play with him because you know if you'll be open he'll pass it to you."

Pelletier pushed it to 4-1 at 9:25, scoring from the low slot after Vasilevskiy poked the puck away from Andrei Kuzmenko.

"It means a lot," said Pelletier, who was playing in his ninth game. "The past five months were kind of tough. You just try to help the team win, and it feels good to score tonight."

Anthony Cirelli cut it to 4-2 at 12:29 of the second when he tapped in a pass from Steven Stamkos at the right post.

Blake Coleman extended the lead to 5-2 at 6:04 of the third period, and Andrew Mangiapane scored an empty-net goal at 12:17 to make it 6-2.

"Blake was one of the guys that was pushing, he was edgy today," Calgary coach Ryan Huska said. "And you see it rub off on other people. That's why, pretty much to a man, everybody came to play today, which was great see. To me, it's just work. I thought we were competitive, I thought we worked hard, and I thought we did a good job with our sticks in the detail of the game."

Michael Eyssimont scored off a pass from Sheary at 14:35 for the 6-3 final.

"What we did tonight wasn't good enough," Paul said. "Nothing we can do about it now, but I don't think it's acceptable."

During the game, the Lightning announced they had acquired forward Anthony Duclair in a trade with the San Jose Sharks for defenseman prospect Jack Thompson and a third-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft. Tampa Bay also received a seventh-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft.

"I played with him in Ottawa," Paul said. "He's a great player. I just heard about it right now."
