Montreal Canadiens forward Alex Galchenyuk is out indefinitely because of a lower-body injury.
Galchenyuk was injured in a collision with Los Angeles Kings center Anze Kopitar in the third period of a 5-4 shootout win Sunday. He was examined by doctors in St. Louis on Monday and will be re-evaluated by Canadiens doctors in Montreal on Wednesday. The 22-year-old leads Montreal with nine goals and 23 points in 25 games. The Canadiens end their five-game road trip at the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday (8 p.m. ET; FS-MW, SNE, RDS, NHL.TV).
