The 27-year-old forward had 32 points (21 goals, 11 assists) in 53 regular-season games for the Toronto Maple Leafs last season and four points (two goals, two assists) in seven Stanley Cup Playoff games.

Signed by Toronto as an undrafted free agent May 6, 2019, Mikheyev has 72 points (36 goals, 36 assists) in 146 regular-season games and four points in 19 playoff games.
The Canucks also agreed with Curtis Lazar on a three-year contract.
The 27-year-old forward, who is from Salmon Arm, British Columbia, had 16 points (eight goals, eight assists) for the Boston Bruins last season. He had 90 points (35 goals, 55 assists) in 404 NHL games over 10 seasons with the Ottawa Senators, Calgary Flames, Buffalo Sabres and Bruins.
"It fits well. It's so close to home. I grew up a diehard Canucks fan," Lazar said. "I got tons of photos wearing my old Canucks memorabilia and I had a special conversation with my grandpa this morning too because we watched a lot of Canucks games growing up and he's pretty happy to be able to throw on his Canucks gear again as well, so it's a special day for the entire extended family.
"They expressed a lot of interest throughout this whole process. Obviously, they're very close to my heart, being a BC boy growing up, cheering them on your every step of the way, and the timing just seemed right. I like the direction the team's going. I feel like there's a need for a player like myself and I'm looking forward to contributing. Being close to home, that's big, I got, a young family and the stars aligned perfectly, so I couldn't be more excited."
