Lorelai Cole split

Sometimes when you lose a tooth, you have to go to the experts.

So when Lorelai Moose, a 5-year-old Carolina Hurricanes fan diagnosed with Autism, lost her first baby tooth, a picture of Ian Cole came to the rescue.
"Losing a tooth can be a little frightening, and Lorelai has Autism so she doesn't always handle change all that well," her dad Taylor Moose told NHL.com. "She was freaking out a little bit. So I went to Ian Cole's Instagram and pulled up a picture where he was missing a tooth. I said 'Look how cool he is' and it helped her."

What Moose didn't expect was what happened next.
He shared a side-by-side photo of Lorelai and Cole, each with their missing teeth, and Cole responded.

"I love the look, obviously all the cool kids are doing it!" Cole tweeted about Lorelai's tooth.
"I was like 'Wow.' I was not expecting this," Moose said. "They are hooking her up with a jersey, sending her an autographed puck... I can't thank him enough."
What's more, the family, including mom Sara and one-year-old Lincoln, attended the March 24th game against the Dallas Stars where Lorelai got to meet Cole in person. The two showed off their missing front teeth and hugged.
"Always keep smiling," Cole signed on Lorelai's jersey.

Cole, for his part, couldn't have made the young fan happier. Lorelai now proudly displays her missing tooth and shows it off for photos.
"I can't say enough about how great [Cole] is for this," Moose said. "I can never repay him for that. I can't thank him enough... I didn't think I could love this team any more than I already did."
