Injured forwards Micheal Ferland (upper body), Jordan Martinook (lower body) and Andrei Svechnikov (concussion) skated Monday morning and coach Rod Brind'Amour said there is a possibility at least one of them will play.
The Hurricanes face elimination trailing 3-2 in the best-of-7 series.

"We'll know when they get off this skate here who's able to go and then make decisions from there," Brind'Amour said.
The Hurricanes did not hold a morning skate, but Ferland, Martinook and Svechnikov were on the ice with defenseman Haydn Fleury, who is expected to be a healthy scratch for the third straight game. Ferland and Martinook left after about 20 minutes while Svechnikov remained on and did extra work with Fleury.
After Brind'Amour said Sunday it was doubtful that Svechnikov would play in Game 6, he said Monday he wasn't sure if he's been cleared for contact.
"I think today was the day we were going to see how it went," Brind'Amour said. "I can't really comment until everybody gets off the ice."
Svechnikov hasn't played since he was injured in a fight with Alex Ovechkin in the first period of Game 3. The 19-year-old rookie has three points (two goals, one assist) in the series.
Ferland, who has no points in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, also left in the first period of Game 3. Martinook, who has one assist, hasn't played since the first period of Game 4.
The Hurricanes called up forward Clark Bishop from Charolotte of the American Hockey League on Sunday after returning Aleksi Saarela to Charlotte earlier in the day.
