Hurricanes mascot hits road, gives out free stuff in nearby neighborhood

There was a Stormy brewing in a nearby Raleigh neighborhood.

A big, pig Stormy.

The Carolina Hurricanes mascot did a little social distancing gift giving on Friday to some local kids, tossing t-shirts and posters out the sliding door of a van emblazoned with the Hurricanes logo.

Everyone's favorite ice hog rolled through slowly, blowing kisses and waving as parents and children lined the sidewalk to pick up some gear.

Stormy, who you may or may not know is

best friends with Hurricanes defenseman Dougie Hamilton

, had more than enough for the neighborhood and shared one of the clips on Twitter.

The mascot was blasting music from the Hurricanes van, but you could barely hear it over the kids screaming with excitement for Stormy.
