The Carolina Hurricanes game against the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena on Tuesday was postponed after five players were placed in COVID-19 protocol.

The NHL said the game was postponed "out of an abundance of caution to ensure the health and safety of players, coaches and game day personnel and in consultation with medical experts."
Hurricanes forwards Warren Foegele, Jordan Martinook, Jordan Staal and Teuvo Teravainen, and defenseman Jaccob Slavin were placed in COVID-19 protocol.
The rescheduled date for the game will be announced at a later time.
The Hurricanes are next scheduled to play the Florida Panthers at PNC Arena on Thursday. The Predators next play the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center on Friday.
It is the first game postponed since the NHL season began and the fifth postponement of the season. The Stars had their first four games postponed and rescheduled due to COVID-19 issues: against the Panthers on Thursday (now Feb. 22) and Friday (now May 3), and against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday (now May 4) and Tuesday (now May 10).
