to a one-year, $2 million contract July 28 to replace Brian Elliott as Hart's backup. Elliott signed a one-year contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning on July 28.

to a one-year contract after allowing an NHL-high 3.52 goals per game last season. Defensemen Philippe Myers (Predators), Robert Hagg (Sabres) and Shayne Gostisbehere (Arizona Coyotes) were traded away.
"Definitely a lot of new faces coming in," Hart said. "Sad to see some of the boys go, for sure, but it's a business. But I think the changes that we made there are guys that are going to come in and help our group. I've heard nothing but good things from all of them and I think it's going to be definitely beneficial to our group to have those guys. I'm really looking forward to meeting them here soon. They're going to be a great additions to our team."
Hart was 24-13-3 with a 2.42 GAA, a .914 save percentage and one shutout in 43 games (40 starts) in 2019-20, and 9-5 with a 2.23 GAA, a .926 save percentage and two shutouts in 14 Stanley Cup Playoff games to help the Flyers reach the Eastern Conference Second Round.
A second-round pick (No. 48) in the 2016 NHL Draft, Hart is 49-37-9 with a 2.88 GAA, a .905 save percentage and two shutouts in 101 regular-season games (95 starts).

Travis Sanheim
is a restricted free agent. He is scheduled to have a salary arbitration hearing Aug. 26.
