In the video, titled "Back to Work," actor and Flyers fan David Boreanaz, Villanova University men's basketball coach Jay Wright, Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney and other Philadelphia residents display their passion for the Flyers' return to the ice. Forward Wayne Simmonds is one of the players also pictured in the video, but center Nick Cousins was among the team members fired up enough to post it on Twitter on Thursday.
The 2016-17 season marks the Flyers' 50th anniversary in the NHL, and the video also pays homage to founder and longtime owner Ed Snider, who died of cancer April 11. The Flyers open the season against the Los Angeles Kings at Staples Center on Friday (10:30 p.m. ET; FS-W, CSN-PH, NHL.TV).
