chance with check winter classic

After rocking Wrigley Field at the NHL Discover Winter Classic, Chicago native Chance the Rapper got to give a little back.

The hip hop star accepted a $100,000 donation to the charitable organization he founded, SocialWorks, which has long been dedicated to empowering the city’s youth through innovative programming.

The donation, made in conjunction with the League, the Blackhawks and the NHLPA, will support SocialWorks’ ‘Kids of the Kingdom’ summer camp, which serves children aged 5-13, and will integrate ball hockey and Learn to Skate initiatives.

The organizations hope to introduce even more kids to hockey and the value of teamwork, resilience, and determination, while also aiding in SocialWorks focus on social development and community impact.
