ANAHEIM -- Jarred Tinordi scored his second goal of the game with 2:42 left in the third period, and the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Anaheim Ducks 3-2 at Honda Center on Saturday.

Tinordi's slap shot from the left point deflected in off Henrique's leg and the skate of Dmitry Kulikov.
Coming into the game, Tinordi had scored two goals in 122 NHL games, including one at Honda Center on Jan. 8. The Blackhawks claimed him off waivers from the New York Rangers on Oct. 10.
"Last year I had a lucky bounce like that in this building, too," Tinordi said. "Maybe it's the building that's giving me some good vibes out there."
Filip Roos scored his first NHL goal, Max Domi and Patrick Kane each had two assists, and Arvid Soderblom made 39 saves for the Blackhawks (6-5-3), who had lost six of seven (1-3-3).
"Not the best game from us, but we've shown we are a strong team," Roos said. "We worked hard out there, so it was a good win."
Troy Terry had a goal and an assist, Adam Henrique scored, and Anthony Stolarz made 19 saves for the Ducks (4-10-1), who have lost three in a row and remain the only NHL team without a win in regulation.
"This one hurts more than some of the others just because we did play such a good game," Terry said. "The sad thing is it's just the way that this game goes sometimes."

CHI@ANA: Tinordi grabs the lead with redirected shot

The Ducks scored 19 seconds into the first period to take a 1-0 lead. The puck was behind the net when Trevor Zegras fed Terry out front for a one-timer.
Henrique made it 2-0 at 11:13 with his 100th goal with Anaheim. Terry brought the puck across the red line and passed it to Henrique, who skated into Chicago's zone and scored with a wrist shot from the inside edge of the left circle.
Henrique missed a 4-1 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Wednesday because he and his wife, Lauren, were awaiting the birth of their daughter, Blake Delphine Henrique, who arrived early Thursday morning.
"It's been a pretty crazy couple of days," Henrique said. "It's certainly nice. You're thinking about it and trying to get one, and that was very special for me, for the family, for everybody."
The Ducks were outshooting the Blackhawks 18-1 when Tinordi cut it to 2-1 at 13:55. Domi brought the puck down the right side of Anaheim's zone and fed Tinordi coming through the opposite circle. Tinordi skated in on Stolarz, forced him to go right and pulled the puck the opposite way before scoring in close.
"We had a slow start to the game, it wasn't really going our way," Tinordi said. "Max [Domi] made a great pass on the first one."
Roos, who was playing in his eighth NHL game, scored off a rebound while following the play to tie it 2-2 at 4:04 of the second period.
"I was really happy for him," Blackhawks coach Luke Richardson said. "After the first period he started skating the puck, he started moving his feet, and that's what he does best."

CHI@ANA: Terry fires home a one-timer in front

Soderblom stopped Terry on a break at 7:28 of the second period, and made a save on Frank Vatrano off a 3-on-1 rush at 16:42 of the third to keep the score tied.
"What we've been preaching all year I thought we did tonight," Terry said. "When they're not bouncing our way, it's hard to not get discouraged, but there are a lot of things that were really positive about tonight."
