TEMPE, Ariz. -- Seth Jones had two goals, and the Chicago Blackhawks scored four times on the power play to end a 22-game road losing streak with a 5-2 win against the Arizona Coyotes at Mullett Arena on Tuesday.

Nick Foligno and Jason Dickinson each had a goal and an assist, Tyler Johnson had three assists, and Connor Bedard had two assists for the Blackhawks (16-42-5), who had lost six straight and 14 of 15 (1-11-3).

Chicago hadn’t won on the road since a 5-3 victory against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Nov. 9 (0-21-1).

“It feels good, for sure,” Bedard said. “It’s one win, and [in a] long season it's not huge, but especially with the streak we've been on, it's really nice to get a couple of points and obviously have some positivity. It’s the first happy plane ride we've had in a little bit.”

Arvid Soderblom made 37 saves for his first win since Nov. 24 (0-12-1).

“He played so great,” Bedard said. “There’s been so many games where he's kept us in it and we weren’t able to pull it out for him. Tonight he was our best player, and it’s a plus to see him get a win.”

Nick Bjugstad and Michael Carcone scored for the Coyotes (25-32-5), who have lost five straight at home and 15 of their past 17 games overall (2-13-2). Connor Ingram made 27 saves.

Chicago was 4-for-5 on the power play after scoring four power-play goals in its previous nine games.

“I'm guilty, we're all guilty in this room of taking penalties, and it's just a tough one when you’re in the box and [give up a goal],” Bjugstad said. "We didn’t put up much of a fight as far as pushback, and it's not an acceptable effort.”

CHI@ARI: Dickinson directs a pass into the back of the net to grab the lead

Dickinson gave Chicago a 3-2 lead at 14:10 of the second period, redirecting Kevin Korchinski’s pass to the slot on a power play.

Kurashev pushed it to 4-2 at 18:35 with another power-play goal, scoring with a one-timer off a cross-ice pass from Foligno.

Jones scored an empty-net goal at 19:32 of the third period for the 5-2 final.

“We were getting pucks in and behind them and we had a lot of guys playing physical tonight, a lot more physical than I thought we have been in the past,” Jones said. “That creates turnovers and creates O-zone time and we just kind of built from there.”

The Blackhawks hadn’t scored four power-play goals in a game since Jan. 9, 2018, against the Ottawa Senators. They began the game with the NHL’s 32nd-ranked power play after losing 5-0 to the Colorado Avalanche on Monday.

“They weren't pressuring very much,” Jones said. “They weren't pushing near as hard as Colorado was. And the puck movement, it wasn’t stickhandle, pass, stickhandle, no pass. It was bang, bang, bang, one touch to each other, and that's what ends up in the back of the net.”

CHI@ARI: Jones hammers in a slap shot from the edge of the circle

Jones made it 1-0 at 10:54 of the first period during a 5-on-3 power play, scoring with a one-timer from the left point that deflected off Coyotes defenseman Troy Stecher’s stick and under the crossbar.

The lead was the Blackhawks’ first in their past eight road games.

“We really focused when we talked a little bit this morning about the direction that we want to go in our last 20 games, and it's only going to be us in the room that can change that,” Chicago coach Luke Richardson said. “And I thought that was a good first step.”

Bjugstad tied it 1-1 at 2:07 of the second.

Foligno put Chicago up 2-1 at 4:27, redirecting Bedard’s pass to the top of the crease on a power play.

Carcone tied it 2-2 at 11:42 on the rebound of his own shot from the goal line. He has four goals in two games against the Blackhawks.

“Sometimes you’ve got to learn the hard way,” Bjugstad said. “As far as effort, I think that's what it comes down to, and energy. We’re pros and you’ve got to find a way to have it.”
