Alex DeBrincat and Patrick Kane each scored and had an assist, and Marc-Andre Fleury made 31 saves for the Blackhawks (5-9-2), who won for the first time in seven road games this season. They have not lost since King replaced Jeremy Colliton on Nov. 6.
"[Jones] is awesome. I mean, he's very skilled," DeBrincat said. "He's really fast, as you guys saw. It just brings a whole new dynamic to it. You can get four guys in the rush rather than three. I think he's helped us a lot this year."
Philipp Grubauer made 15 saves making his 200th NHL start, and Jared McCann and Yanni Gourde scored for the Kraken (4-11-1), who have lost five straight.
"Wish I had an answer for it," McCann said. "It's frustrating. We need to clean it up. I'm frustrated. I want to win. I think everybody does on our team. You know, things aren't going our way right now. But we're shooting ourselves in the foot. That's the way it is."
Chicago took a 1-0 lead at 15:03 of the first period when Jones tapped in a goal after a quick passing play between Kane, DeBrincat and him. Jones has an NHL career-high seven-game point streak (two goals, five assists), and 14 points (two goals, 12 assists) this season, his first with Chicago.
DeBrincat extended the lead to 2-0 at 2:01 of the second period when he scored over Grubauer's blocker. Kane scored at 5:36 of the third period to make it 3-0.
"[DeBrincat] is a guy that I think he's been known as a shooter since he came into the league," Kane said. "He's so good at finding open areas where he can get open and be able to get a shot off. So good that he's [going to] be able to score a lot of the time."
