NEW YORK - Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for slashing Anaheim Ducks forward Nick Ritchie during NHL Game No. 366 in Chicago on Monday, Nov. 27, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 15:47 of the third period. Kane was assessed a minor penalty for slashing.
The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
