Claude Giroux said he plans to meet with Philadelphia Flyers general manager Chuck Fletcher to discuss his options ahead of the NHL Trade Deadline on March 21.

The forward is in the final season of an eight-year contract that has a no-move clause.
"I haven't had a chance to talk to Chuck," Giroux said Wednesday. "We have a lot of things to talk about, what's best for the Flyers organization, what's best for me, and we'll just go from there."
Fletcher said last month that Giroux would be taking the lead in any decision about his future.
"Claude has a no-move clause in his contract and ultimately that'll be his decision," Fletcher said Jan. 26. "We're at the halfway point, we're two months to the trade deadline, so I guess the best way to put it is we'll continue to have conversations and ultimately a decision will have to be made one way or the other. But it'll be Claude's decision."
Giroux leads the Flyers with 38 points (16 goals, 22 assists) in 46 games. The 34-year-old won 60.8 percent of his face-offs, fourth in the NHL among players to take at least 100 entering Thursday, and was MVP at the 2022 Honda NHL All-Star Game.
Philadelphia (15-25-9) is tied with the New Jersey Devils for last in the Metropolitan Division and has lost 17 of its past 19 games (2-13-4) after a 5-3 loss to the Washington Capitals on Thursday.
"Right now, I'm committed to this team and start winning some hockey games and keep working as a team here," he said.
Giroux has played his entire 15-season NHL career for the Flyers, who selected him in the first round (No. 22) of the 2006 NHL Draft, and has been captain since the start of the 2012-13 season.
He has scored 896 points (289 goals, 607 assists) in 989 games and is second in Flyers history in games played, assists and points, behind Bobby Clarke (852 assists, 1,210 points, 1,144 games).
"The organization here has been great to me the last 14 years," Giroux said. "They've treated me the right way. I've had the chance to play with a lot of great players, had a lot of great coaches. It's an honor to have been a Flyer this long."
