Nathan MacKinnon scored 30 seconds into the game for Colorado. Jonathan Bernied stopped 25 of 26 shots through two periods. Semyon Varlamov made nine saves in the third in relief. Mikko Rantanen made it 4-2 with an empty-net goal at 19:23 of the third period. Brett Ritchie and Julius Honka scored for the Stars. Ben Bishop made 20 saves.
