Cogliano took part in the morning skate Saturday and full-team practice Friday, skating on the fourth line.
The forward missed Game 1 of the Cup Final, a 4-3 overtime win by the Avalanche on Wednesday, after having hand surgery. He left Game 4 of the Western Conference Final on June 6 against the Edmonton Oilers in the third period after blocking a shot.
Forward Nazem Kadri did not play Saturday. He skated Friday, taking to the ice before the main practice session.
"He's added the stick to it for the last couple days," Avalanche coach Jared Bednar said Friday. "Getting better, but I don't have an update on him besides that."
Kadri also had hand surgery and has missed three games since he was injured at 1:06 of the first period of Game 3 against the Oilers on June 4 after he was boarded by forward Evander Kane, who received a major penalty and was later suspended for one game. Kadri had an NHL career-high 87 points (28 goals, 59 assists) in 71 games during the regular season and has 14 points (six goals, eight assists) in 13 Stanley Cup Playoff games.

"Similar surgeries, different fingers, thumbs," Bednar said last week. "We're hoping, depending on the timeline, they'll be able to make their way back into the Finals. We'll see how it goes when they get playing and what not. We're hopeful that that could be an option for us."
Kadri and Cogliano skated Thursday, when the team was off. It was the first time Kadri had been seen practicing with a stick, which he did again Friday.
Cogliano has three points (two goals, one assist) in 11 games in the postseason after scoring 16 points (four goals, 12 assists) in 74 games in the regular season. He had one assist in 18 regular-season games after he was acquired in a trade with the San Jose Sharks on March 21.
The Avalanche look to extend their lead against the Lightning when they host Game 2 of the best-of-7 series Saturday (8 p.m. ET; ABC, ESPN+, CBC, TVAS, SN).
