Blue Jackets kids day

On Saturday, the kids were running the show in Columbus.

All day at Nationwide Arena, the Columbus Blue Jackets celebrated Kids Takeover Day, giving the youngsters an opportunity to participate in gameday operations.
The day started with Claire Cooper, the Kid Coach for the day, announcing the starting lineup in the locker room, followed by cheers and hugs from the team.

Meanwhile, 12-year-old Oliver Jap, eight-year-old Alexandra Keifaber and 14-year-old Luke Pavliga were getting the fans hyped up during the pregame ceremonies.

Then, nine-year-old Sahana Sadineni took over the PA announcing job in the arena and crushed the intros.

Lila Urbanic got the on-ice festivities going with a rendition of the

and the Blue Jackets even donned special warm-up jerseys for the special day.

Of course, the day wouldn't be complete without a strong social media presence, and that was up to the kids too.

And sometimes you just need your favorite snack to get through the work day.

If any of these young fans decide to pursue the profession, the Blue Jackets are undoubtedly in good hands.
