Bengals Jersey

Let's Joe.

The Columbus Blue Jackets are supporting the Cincinnati Bengals ahead of Super Bowl LVI. The Blue Jackets stepped off the bus wearing Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow jerseys before the game against the Montreal Canadiens at Centre Bell on Saturday.

Blue Jackets goalie Elvis Merzlikins summed up the team's matching apparel best.
"Tremendous," he said.

It's been a long time coming for Cincinnati, who hasn't reached the Big Game since 1988. The last time the Bengals made it to the Super Bowl, the Blue Jackets organization wasn't yet founded.

Before Burrow became a ceiling-smashing NFL quarterback, the southeast Ohio native was an Athens High slinger. Burrow was named Mr. Football in 2014 -- an award given to the best high school football player in Ohio -- after leading his high school to a Division II state championship game. He won a national championship at LSU in 2019, and, now, the Blue Jackets are rooting for Burrow to bring the Vince Lombardy Trophy home to the Buckeye State.
