The Winnipeg Jets goaltenders each had a custom-made mask in order to support the "Hockey Talks" program for mental health awareness.
The incredible masks were made as part of Project 11, an initiative spearheaded by the True North Youth Foundation, a group that helps Manitoba kids achieve their full physical, social, emotional and intellectual potential.
The mask designs were modeled after drawings made by Project 11 students Brienne Santos-Herlinda and Dalayoan-Yanna Vlahos.
Hellebuyck's helmet, which he wore in Winnipeg's 5-2 win against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday, features the saying "Break the Ice on Mental Health" on the side and two hands reaching out to each other across the chin.
