Goalie Keith Kinkaid will start for the Devils at the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday (7 p.m. ET; SN, TVAS, ATTSN-PT, MSG+, NHL.TV). New Jersey (32-22-8) holds the first wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Eastern Conference and is four points behind the third-place Penguins in the Metropolitan Division.
Schneider, 31, participated in a full practice Monday for the first time since the injury. He's 17-11-6 with a 2.79 goals-against average and .913 save percentage.
"I've had some good volume the last few days," Schneider said. "I think we're at a point where we're going to make a decision one way or another. I feel about as good as I'm going to, so hopefully I can get back into the lineup as a backup first or to play a game. I just want to get back to playing hockey."
