GLENDALE, ARIZONA ---Arizona Coyotes forward Andrew Ladd will skate in his 1,000th career NHL game tonight against the Chicago Blackhawks at Gila River Arena. The Coyotes will hold a pregame ceremony honoring Ladd's 1,000 game milestone on Friday, April 22 versus the Washington Capitals.

Ladd becomes the 370th player in NHL history to reach the 1,000-game milestone and the 15th player in franchise history to skate in his 1,000th game with the team (Serge Savard, Randy Carlyle, Rick Tocchet, Teppo Numminen, Paul Ranheim, Geoff Sanderson, Shane Doan, Ed Jovanovski, Adrian Aucoin, Derek Morris, Steve Sullivan, Radim Vrbata, Phil Kessel and Loui Eriksson).
The 36-year-old Ladd has totaled 256-293-549 with 51 power-play goals and 105 power-play points in 999 career NHL games with the Carolina Hurricanes, Blackhawks, Atlanta Thrashers, Winnipeg Jets, New York Islanders and Coyotes. He has 7-4-11 in 49 games with Arizona this season.
The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Ladd has registered six seasons with 20-plus goals including a career-high 29 goals with Atlanta in 2010-11. He also has posted four seasons with 50-plus points with a career-best 62 in 2014-15 with Winnipeg.
Additionally, the Maple Ridge, BC native has tallied 9-9-18 in 65 career Stanley Cup Playoff appearances. He won Stanley Cups with the Hurricanes in 2006 and the Blackhawks in 2010.
Ladd recorded 45-66-111 with 105 PIM in 203 career games with Chicago. He was originally drafted by the Hurricanes in the first round (4th overall) in the 2004 Entry Draft.
This marks the 47th instance in NHL history of a team having multiple players skate in their 1,000th game in the same season. Eriksson played in his 1,000th career NHL game on Dec. 6 at Dallas.
