Barrie Colts goalie Anson Thornton not only scored in an Ontario Hockey League game on Thursday, he did it in style.
Thornton, an Arizona Coyotes prospect, played a puck behind his own net in the closing seconds of a win against the Hamilton Bulldogs. Instead of clearing it around the boards, Thornton lifted the puck perfectly, sending it nearly 200 feet the other direction while falling to one knee.
GOALIE GOAL ALERT 🚨@ArizonaCoyotes prospect Anson Thornton scores his first career #OHL goal, as the @OHLBarrieColts netminder seals the deal in the most memorable way possible!
