Craig Berube

Former Philadelphia Flyers coach Craig Berube was named coach of the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League on Wednesday. Chicago is the AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues.
Berube, 50, was a scout for Hockey Canada this season and helped evaluate players for Team Canada for the 2016 World Cup of Hockey; Blues general manager Doug Armstrong holds the same role for Team Canada. Berube also did some scouting for St. Louis this season.

"Working with Doug and the Blues [in 2015-16], really liked the people and the organization," Berube said. "I want to be a head coach, and Doug offered me the job. It's a great opportunity.
Berube coached the Flyers for most of two seasons, compiling a 75-58-28 record from 2013-15. He was named coach Oct. 7, 2013, three games into the 2013-14 season. The Flyers reached the Stanley Cup Playoffs under Berube in 2014.
He also served six seasons as an assistant with the Flyers and was part of the staff that guided them to the Stanley Cup Final in 2010.
Berube assisted NHL.com in the role of analyst throughout the 2016 playoffs.
