Tyler Seguin DAL

With the NHL pausing the 2019-20 regular season on March 12 due to the concerns surrounding the coronavirus, NHL.com is taking stock of each of the League's 31 teams.
Today, a fantasy recap of the Dallas Stars at the pause:
NOTE: Rank for most-valuable fantasy player is based on standard-category production to date.

Fantasy MVP: Tyler Seguin, C (rank: 48) --He started slow with six goals in the first 34 games but leads Dallas with 25 points (11 goals, 14 assists) and 126 shots on goal in 35 games since Dec. 15. It's worth noting Seguin's shooting percentage of 6.9 percent is much lower than his 10.7 percent NHL career average, which explains the dip in goals to 17 in 69 games after he scored at least 25 goals in each of the previous six seasons. Despite that drop, Seguin leads the Stars with 33 assists, 50 points and 245 shots on goal, and he gains additional value with 90 hits, fifth on Dallas.

DAL@CAR: Seguin nets own rebound for opening goal

Biggest surprise: Denis Gurianov, LW/RW -- The rookie leads the Stars with 20 goals in 64 games, helping to offset the lower-than-expected offensive production from Seguin and other teammates. Gurianov is tied for second among NHL rookies in goals with Victor Olofsson of the Buffalo Sabres, behind Chicago Blackhawks forward Dominik Kubalik (30), and has been a sneaky forward to stream in all formats with some top-six exposure and coverage in rating (plus-5) and power-play points (12).

DAL@STL: Gurianov forces turnover and beats Allen

Unsung hero: Anton Khudobin, G -- He is 16-8-4 with a .930 save percentage in 30 games. He leads NHL goalies who have played at least 23 games in save percentage, and his 2.22 goals-against average is third behind Tuukka Rask of the Boston Bruins (2.12) and Jake Allen of the St. Louis Blues (2.15) in that group. Ben Bishop is the clear-cut No. 1 goalie in Dallas, but Khudobin has been outstanding when called upon.
