NHL.com fantasy rank: 25

Reason for optimism: Hintz continues to develop into an elite center and was better than a point-per-game player last season (NHL career-high 75 points in 73 games) playing on the top line with Robertson and veteran Joe Pavelski. He then gained fantasy value from the Stanley Cup Playoffs when he was tied for third with 24 points (10 goals, 14 assists) in 19 games.

NHL.com fantasy rank: 28

Reason for optimism: Oettinger had a full-fledged breakout last season, finishing with 37 wins (tied for third) and a .919 save percentage (tied for fourth). His 67 wins the past two seasons rank fourth and he should be considered the most valuable fantasy goalie in keeper and dynasty leagues.

Joe Pavelski, C/RW

Reason for optimism: Pavelski was near a point per game (77 points in 82 games) last season and hasn't missed a regular-season game the past two seasons.
