The hockey community was in mourning after Dallas Stars broadcaster
Dave Strader died Sunday at the age of 62
of cholangiocarcinoma, a form of bile duct cancer.

Stars players, including captain Jamie Benn, mourned and celebrated Strader's life with posts on Twitter.

Stars center Tyler Seguin also voiced his appreciation for the 2017 Foster Hewitt Memorial Award winner with a tweet and post on Instagram.

Strader, known as The Voice, spent more than 30 years calling games for the Stars, Detroit Red Wings, Florida Panthers, Arizona Coyotes, as well as broadcasting national games for FOX, ESPN and NBC. As such, his reach across the NHL was broad, as reflected by players, media members and teams offering condolences.
