GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Luke Glendening scored shorthanded to break a tie with 3:24 remaining, and the Detroit Red Wings defeated the Arizona Coyotes 4-2 at Gila River Arena on Thursday.
Martin Frk, Henrik Zetterberg and Frans Nielsen scored for the Red Wings (3-1-0), and Jimmy Howard made 33 saves. Detroit killed five of six Arizona power plays.
