Vladislav Namestnikov was traded to the Dallas Stars by the Detroit Red Wings for a fourth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft on Monday.
Namestnikov is in the final year of a two-year contract he signed with the Red Wings on Oct. 11, 2020. He can become an unrestricted free agent after the season.
The 29-year-old forward has scored 25 points (13 goals, 12 assists) in 60 games this season.
Selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the first round (No. 27) of the 2011 NHL Draft, Namestnikov has scored 231 points (104 goals,127 assists) in 538 regular-season games for the Red Wings, Colorado Avalanche, Ottawa Senators, New York Rangers and Lightning and nine points (five goals, four assists) in 41 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
