Jesper Bratt made his mom and dad cry Saturday, but it was for all the right reasons.

The New Jersey Devils forward drove his parents to tears of joy after he scored his first NHL goal in his debut against the Colorado Avalanche.
Bratt's power-play goal at 19:32 of the second period gave the Devils a 3-1 lead, and cameras caught his mom Karin and dad Conny applauding first, then welling up at their son's accomplishment.

And Bratt's parents certainly were not alone this week. Jake DeBrusk's first career goal moved
his dad, former NHL player Louie DeBrusk, to tears
in the Bruins opener on Thursday night. Of course, Auston Mattews' legendary four-goal debut last season famously
turned on the water works for his mom, Ema
.
Bratt added his second NHL point with the primary assist on John Moore's shorthanded goal in the third period.
With a goal, an assist and two proud parents, Jesper capped the Bratt trick.
