There's also smoke wafting from behind the Devils logo on either side of the mask and a couple of pitchforks on either side of the chin. Crawford's No. 50 rounds out the design.
Crawford agreed to a two-year, $7.8 million contract with the Devils on Oct. 11 after spending 13 seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks. The present circumstances of a lengthy break between seasons and new imagery to draw from created a perfect storm for Crawford to get more involved in the design process than he has been in the past.
