Boucher Devils

NEWARK, N.J. -- New Jersey Devils forward Reid Boucher missed his third day of training camp Monday because of a hip flexor injury.
Boucher is day to day and will not play in either of the Devils' split-squad preseason games to kick off their eight-game preseason schedule Monday. The Devils play against the Philadelphia Flyers at Prudential Center (7 p.m. ET) and the Montreal Canadiens at Bell Centre (7:30 p.m. ET).

"It's just a minor injury and he should be back at some point this week," Devils coach John Hynes said. "It's nothing serious."
The Devils signed Boucher to a one-year, two-way contract on Aug. 10.
Boucher, 23, split last season between New Jersey and Albany of the American Hockey League. He set NHL career-highs with eight goals, 11 assists and 19 points in 39 games with New Jersey. He had 19 goals and 32 points in 34 games for Albany.
Selected in the fourth round (No. 99) of the 2011 NHL Draft, Boucher has split time in the NHL and AHL over the past three seasons. He has 11 goals and 27 points in 73 NHL games.
