The defenseman's Los Angeles Kings teammates surprised him with a Sea-Doo watercraft Wednesday in honor of his 1,000th regular-season NHL game. The all-black watercraft sat on the ice prior to the Kings practice. Doughty laughed and pointed when he spotted the gift waiting for him.
Doughty played his 1,000th regular-season game Jan. 27th against the New York Islanders. The Kings held a pregame ceremony back in February to celebrate the accomplishment, gifting him a crystal trophy and silver stick. For now, the only wave Doughty is riding is a three-game winning streak.
