The Edmonton Oilers made sure Ben Stelter had a very special sixth birthday.
The young Oilers fan, who is battling cancer, had his birthday wish come true when Edmonton beat the Calgary Flames 5-4 in Game 6 to advance to the Western Conference Finals. Prior to Thursday's game, Ben's dad, Mike, took to Twitter asking the Oilers to win Game 6 as an early birthday present to Ben. The Oilers of course delivered for their favorite fan.
After the game, Leon Draisaitl made a special video sending birthday wishes to Stelter. "Hi buddy, it's Leon here, one of your good friends," Draisaitl said in the video posted by the Oilers. "Happy Birthday Ben, we love you. I know you are cheering for us. [We're] excited to see you in Round 3."
