Ducks forward Terry meets namesake Aikman in Monday Night Football booth

The saying goes never meet your heroes, but you may very well want to meet your namesake, at least in Troy Terry's case.

The Anaheim Ducks forward was famously named for Hall of Fame quarterback turned Monday Night Football analyst Troy Aikman. Terry and his father, Chuck, paid a visit to the ESPN booth Monday night when the Cowboys visited the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Terrys were greeted by Aikman and play-by-play announcer Joe Buck, and they brought some gifts. The Terrys handed over a pair of Ducks jerseys one with Aikman's and one with Buck's name on the back, both featuring the number 22 for the number of years the pair has been on the air.

You may remember that it was Aikman who broke the news to Terry that he was seleced to the NHL All-Star Team in 2022.
