A young Detroit Red Wings fan, named Dillon, received a surprise video message from his favorite player, Dylan Larkin, after capturing Larkin's attention on social media.
"I saw the video and I'm sorry you are going through a tough time in your life," Larkin said in the Twitter video. "It's summertime and nice weather. I hope you can get outside, play sports and play with friends, play some street hockey in that cool new jersey that you got."
Larkin also invited Dillion to a game next season where he hopes to meet him after.

Last week, a Red Wings super fan shipped Dillion a box of every Larkin memorabilia he owned after hearing the young fan lost a few close people to him including his uncle.
