McDavid to be inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame

Connor McDavid can soon add another impressive achievement to his resume.

The Edmonton Oilers captain will be inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame this coming December, it was announced Monday, along with other Canadian trailblazers.

Just 26 years old, McDavid has already established himself as one of the best in hockey. The Ontario native has earned five All Star bids since his rookie season in 2015, two Hart Memorial Trophy awards (given to the league's most valuable player) and three Ted Lindsay Awards (given to the league's most outstanding player during the regular season).

The No. 1 pick in 2015 NHL Draft, McDavid has also earned five Art Ross Trophy awards, including the last three. The Art Ross Trophy is given to the player who leads the league in points at the end of the regular season.

This year's induction class will be the 25th in Canada's Walk of Fame's history.

"Our first round of Inductees exemplifies the values of respect, excellence, contribution to community, and inspiring other Canadians. We can't wait to share what's in store for this year's milestone Celebration, which will be filled with moments of retrospect, gratitude, and Canadian pride."

A special 25th Anniversary Celebration will take place in Toronto on Dec. 2.
